Per Diem Athletic Trainer
PER DIEM ATHLETIC TRAINER (part-time, hourly rate)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Applies protective or injury-preventive devices such as tape, bandages, and braces.
- Recognizes and evaluates injuries, including the more complicated and challenging (within the scope of practice).
- Evaluates and provides first aid or emergency care, including the more complicated and challenging (within the scope of practice).
- Develops and carries out rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
- Plans and implements comprehensive programs to prevent injury and illness from athletics.
- Performs administrative tasks, such as keeping records and writing reports on injuries and treatment programs.
- Maintains and completes NATA BOC certification, education, and administrative tasks as assigned and in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, sports medicine, athletic training, or a related field required.
Qualifications:
- Two years of experience preferred.
- Current certification in basic life support (BLS) required, or the ability to obtain before working independently with students or patients.
- Must be Certified by the Board of Certifications
- Must be able to communicate well with athletes, families, and full-time ATC.
- Must be able to function independently in the role needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Moderate physical effort when working in a patient care environment consisting of standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and stooping. Moderate sitting and keyboarding, along with fine and gross motor skills, and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard and other equipment. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move at least 40 to 50 lbs. Must be able to respond quickly and effectively to an emergency.
This is a part-time position, with hours determined by need and availability.
Salary range: $40-50/h based on experience. Employment is contingent on fingerprinting and background check clearances.

Academic and College Counselor
ACADEMIC AND COLLEGE COUNSELOR
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in counseling or related field
- Holding or completing a Pupil Personnel Services Credential
- Experience with secondary and/or postsecondary school experience in the counseling field is strongly desired.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex issues and find and offer creative solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written skills with students, staff, and parents, and effective listening skills.
- Computer proficiency is required, and knowledge of Aeries and Naviance is preferred
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
- Maintain student caseload as assigned
- Assist teachers and administrators in solving problems related to emotional, physical, and academic well-being
- Meet with the Freshman student and family to discuss the 4-year plan and schedule classes
- Meet all students and families to schedule courses for the following year, discuss academic progress, and graduation requirements in depth
- Evaluate all transfer student transcripts for entry into Rosary Academy with the Assistant Principal of Academics and create course schedules
- Coordinate with the Rosary Support Program and C4L for any students having learning disabilities, psychological, or physical difficulties
- Assist with students on Academic Probation and monitor their progress
- Schedule individual college planning appointments with each junior and their parents prior to the beginning of the senior year
- Perform final graduation check for all senior students before the end of the first semester of the senior year
- Advise students on summer school attendance requirements for classes that they need to remediate
- Write letters of recommendation and assist with applications for college admission, scholarships, appeals, and nominations, and complete secondary school reports for college applications
- Coordinate the College Representative Visits
- Assist with the Senior Awards Night
- Participate in Baccalaureate and Graduation ceremonies
- Assist with the proctoring and organization of the PSAT and any other standardized testing administered during the school day
- Attend conferences related to college admission and the social and emotional development of students
- Attend all department and faculty meetings
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Assistant Principal of Academics or the Principal
SALARY:
Based on experience: Range $72,000-$90,000

Digital Media Instructor
DIGITAL MEDIA INSTRUCTOR
Rosary Academy is looking for an enthusiastic Digital Media Teacher. Successful candidates will provide a challenging curriculum (with the guidance of the department chair) that aligns with Rosary Academy’s charism and goals.
Reports To: Assistant Principal of Academics
Summary: Rosary has an immediate opening for a compassionate, creative, and inspired Digital Photography & Graphic Design teacher. This position provides a student-centered, supportive classroom that promotes compassion, resourcefulness, and independent critical thinking while addressing the individual academic and emotional needs of each student. The position will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the fast-paced and demanding communications industry, specifically related to digital media and photography. The teacher will deliver industry-based instruction that develops student competencies leading to postsecondary education and employment, utilizing the latest software applications and industry-standard equipment to create dynamic visual presentations. The teacher will work to improve the photography skills and performance of their students. The teacher provides insight from a firsthand perspective and demonstrates various techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to create and maintain art programs that are both challenging and supportive of students
- Engage all learners and successfully manage the classroom environment
- Maintain and organize photography equipment for classroom and student use.
- Focus daily student learning on the design and storytelling principles relevant to photography
- Inspire and serve as a positive role model for students interested in photography or video production as a possible career.
- Attend and participate in after-school school and department meetings
- Demonstrates mastery of related subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials for course(s) taught.
- Creates lesson plans aligned with departmental standards.
- Maintains a safe, organized classroom, which supports students’ independent learning, collaboration, and choice.
- Utilizes a variety of effective instructional and management techniques.
- Provides a variety of assessments and uses assessments for planning and instruction.
- Monitors and maintains a positive classroom environment that supports the school-wide behavior expectations in which students are engaged and incorporates mutual respect while providing cooperative learning opportunities.
- Uses available technology/instructional media to enhance the students’ learning experiences.
- Establishes and maintains appropriate relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members by communicating in a tactful, courteous, and confidential manner.
- Appropriately communicates and interacts with other professional staff in academic planning and school committee work.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and extra-curricular/school-related activities and committees.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuous professional growth and works with administrators to formulate and complete professional development plans.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates behavior that is conscientious and responsible.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BFA or MFA within the Media Art Focus (Fine Art, Photography, or Cinematography Photography/ Film/ Design), preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching High School Digital Photography and Digital Video Production, preferred.
- California Credential in Arts or Technology, preferred.
- Must be flexible and patient with students; able to present complex content in a variety of ways
- Experience in presenting student art displays and exhibits
- Knowledge of current digital imaging technology
- Strong track record of project-based teaching and learning
- Working knowledge of the Adobe Suites software: Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro, preferred.
SALARY:
- Based on experience: Range $51,836-$86,415

Long-Term English Teacher
LONG-TERM ENGLISH TEACHER
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: TEACHING:
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to create an academically rigorous, college-going culture that is both challenging and supportive of students
- Engage all learners and successfully manage a classroom environment
- Connect daily student learning to real-world problems
- Implement a program of instruction that adheres to the goals and objectives outlined in the course curriculum and agreed to by department members.
- Teach students the required curriculum using strategies that foster critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Facilitate student learning by supplementing regular curriculum materials with a variety of instructional aides and activities
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills – both in writing and as a speaker
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.A. in English, California Credential in English
- Must be flexible and patient with students; able to present complex content in a variety of ways
- Willingness and desire to teach students who might be reluctant learners
- Strong affinity for hands-on teaching and learning
- Motivation to engage all students, especially reluctant learners
Range of daily pay: $125.00-$175.00
