On-Call Substitute Teachers
On-Call Substitute Teachers
Rosary Academy is looking for an enthusiastic On-Call Substitute Teachers. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with high school students and their families. Applicants should have the ability to participate in teamwork and shared decision-making, have excellent oral and written communicative skills and are proficient in technology. Experienced teachers are preferred.

Performing Arts/Musical Teacher
Rosary Academy is looking for an enthusiastic teacher to teach courses in high school music and performing arts. We are looking for teachers who enjoy working with high school students and their families. The teacher will ensure that the curricula and lesson plans are implemented in a way that maximizes student-learning experiences. Rosary needs a teacher who is passionate about the arts and wants to build a dynamic program. Applicants should have the ability to participate in teamwork and shared decision-making, have excellent oral and written communicative skills and are proficient in technology. Experienced teachers are preferred.

Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music Education from an accredited college or university, with a choral emphasis or similar program preferred.

Holds or is pursuing a California teaching credential in secondary subject area preferred.

Two or more years of classroom teaching experience in subject area preferred.

Knowledge of computer technology required.

Willingness to pursue higher education and continue progress in career development.

Mathematics Teacher
Mathematics Teacher
Rosary Academy is looking for an enthusiastic math teacher. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with high school students and their families. Applicants should have the ability to participate in teamwork and shared decision-making, have excellent oral and written communicative skills and are proficient in technology. Experienced teachers are preferred. A preferred candidate must teach a broad range of math classes including but not limited to Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Calculus, AP Calculus AB/BC. Preference will be given to someone with training and/or experience in AP and technology integration in the classroom.
Responsibilities and Duties: Teaching:
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to create an academically rigorous, college-going culture that is both challenging and supportive of students
- Implement AP Curriculum that utilizes challenges students research-based instructional strategies and methods
- Engage all learners and successfully manage a classroom environment
- Connect daily student learning to real-world problems and situations in the field of mathematics
- Plan and implement a program of instruction that adheres to the goals and objectives outlined in the course curriculum and agreed to by department members.
- Teach students the required curriculum using strategies that foster critical thinking, reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Facilitate student learning by supplementing regular curriculum materials with a variety of instructional aids and activities
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills – both in writing and as a speaker
- Proficiency in the development of curriculum at the secondary level
- Participate in trainings and program development during the summer and throughout the year
- Attend and participate in after-school school and department meetings, events, and Professional Development during the summer or school year
Qualifications:
- B.A./B.S. in Math with Advanced Placement experience and/or training or Masters’ in Mathematics
- California Credential in Mathematics
- Must be flexible and patient with students; able to present complex content in a variety of ways
- Willingness and desire to teach students who might be reluctant learners
- Strong affinity for hands-on teaching and learning
- Motivation to engage all students, especially reluctant learners
- Willingness to teach STEM and AP content
$47,000 - $80,000 based on years of experience and placement on diocesan pay scale.

American Sign Language Teacher Position

Rosary Academy is looking for an enthusiastic teacher to teach courses in high school level American Sign Language (ASL) courses ranging from ASL I through ASL 4. We are looking for teachers who enjoy working with high school students and their families. Applicants should have the ability to participate in teamwork and shared decision-making, have excellent oral and written communicative skills and are proficient in technology. QUALIFICATIONS
Teacher must have minimally a Bachelor’s Degree and either a California Credential in the subject they teach or a Masters Degree. Teacher must model all behaviors outlined in both the Faculty Handbook and the Employee Handbook for lay personnel of the Diocese of Orange.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Design and facilitate instruction in American Sign Language and other subjects as assigned
- Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to all students in class
- Support our goal to use language immersion in classrooms and in related individual learning plans, projects and presentations.
- Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress, attainment, and behaviors of one’s students
- Candidates should be interested in the social and developmental needs of students and be able to contribute to extracurricular activities.
- Develops and uses instructional material suitable for verbal and/or visual instruction of students with wide range of mental physical and emotional maturity.
- Plan and implement a program of instruction that adheres to the goals and objectives outlined in the course curriculum and agreed to in your PLC (Professional Learning Community)
- Teach students the required curriculum using strategies that foster critical thinking, reasoning and problem-solving skills
