Part-Time Facilities Support
Reports to – Facilities Manager
Interacts with – Administrators, faculty and staff, vendors, and other service providers of Rosary Academy.
Responsibilities include: Under general supervision, performs various routine building maintenance, grounds maintenance, and custodial work involving the care, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of school buildings, facilities, and grounds; and performs related duties as assigned.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs a variety of custodial, grounds maintenance, and routine building maintenance activities involved in maintaining assigned County Office buildings, facilities, and grounds.
- Performs a variety of routine building maintenance and repairs; replaces light bulbs; repairs, adjusts, and replaces electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related parts, components, and fixtures; removes graffiti; patches holes; and paints.
- Performs grounds maintenance and gardening duties; mows, edges, waters, and trims lawns, fields, and other turf grounds; plants, cultivates, prunes, sprays, fertilizes, and irrigates flowers, trees, grass, and shrubs; hoes and pulls weeds; rakes leaves; edges walkways; applies pest control methods according to established procedures.
- Sweeps, scrubs, mops, strips, waxes, and polishes floors; vacuums, shampoos, and spot cleans rugs and carpets in classrooms, offices, and other work areas.
- Cleans classrooms, lounges, offices, kitchens, hallways, and other facilities as assigned; mops spills; removes gum and debris; replaces light bulbs as needed.
- Respond to requests for repair of all facilities in a timely manner.
- Assists with all set ups for Rosary Academy events (masses, fundraisers, dinners, assemblies)
- Sweeps and picks up paper and other debris from floors, grounds, walkways, and areas adjacent to campus buildings and site facilities.
- Operates and maintains hand and power tools, vehicles, and light to heavy power equipment needed to perform routine building maintenance, grounds maintenance, and custodial activities.
- Moves, arranges, picks up, and distributes furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed; sets up rooms, chairs, equipment, and tables for meetings and other events; cleans up furniture, equipment, and debris following events.
- Locks and unlocks doors and gates as appropriate; turns lights on and off; sets alarms; maintains security of assigned areas according to established guidelines; raises and lowers flags.
- Identifies and reports maintenance and repair needs and problems; reports vandalism and safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to appropriate staff; responds to emergency custodial requests.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- At least five (5) years of related facilities management experience.
- Knowledge of facilities, building equipment and electrical.
- A high school diploma or greater.
- Knowledge with office products
- Ability to pass background check and Diocese Safe Environment protocols.
Physical Demands
- Mobility to work in the field and in and around standard Rosary Academy offices and buildings; to sit, stand, and walk on level, uneven, or slippery surfaces; frequently reach, twist, turn, kneel, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement in the performance of daily duties; to climb and descend ladders; to operate varied hand and power tools, vehicles, and power equipment.
- Strength and stamina to perform medium to heavy physical work; to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects averaging a weight of 50 pounds or heavier weights, in all cases with the use of proper equipment and/or assistance from other staff.
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Part-Time Shuttle Van Driver
Reports to – Facilities Director
Interacts with – Administrators, faculty, staff, students, and parents of Rosary Academy
Position – Non-exempt, part-time, hourly
Hours – 5:00am-8:00am
Anticipated Pay Range – $19.00-$21.00
Summary – The School Shuttle Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to school in the mornings and ensuring their well-being during the entirety of the trip. This role requires a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and excellent communication skills. The Shuttle Driver has a crucial role in maintaining a positive and secure student transportation environment.
Responsibilities include:
Safe Transportation:
- Safely operate the school shuttle following established routes and schedules
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of passengers and pedestrians
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the shuttle is working properly
- Maintain a positive and respectful environment in the shuttle
- Ensure the students board and disembark the shuttle in an orderly manner
- Report any behavioral issues or concerns to the Facilities Director
Communication:
- Maintain open and clear communication with Administration, school staff, parents, and students
- Provide updates on any delays or changes to the transportation schedule to Facilities Director and front office staff
Emergency Response:
- Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including evacuations and first aid situations
- Follow established emergency procedures and protocols
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and school staff
- Address any concerns or inquiries related to transportation
- Handle parent questions regarding scheduling
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the shuttle
- Report any mechanical issues promptly and follow through with necessary maintenance procedures
- Stay up to date on refueling the shuttle
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of daily routes, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transportation
- Complete required documentation for fueling, maintenance, and other relevant activities
- Record names of students attending the shuttle daily
Compliance:
- Complete all necessary driver training and course required by the organization
- Must have a clean driving record and current driver’s license
Additional Essential Functions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and complete tasks promptly
- Ability to accept direction and constructive feedback
- Ability to maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
Physical Demands
Shuttle drivers spend a good amount of time sitting while operating the vehicle. This requires good posture and the ability to remain seated for extended periods. Operating a shuttle involves various physical movements, including steering, braking, accelerating, and maneuvering the vehicle. Shuttle drivers need to have good coordination and the ability to react quickly to traffic situations. Shuttle drivers may need to enter and exit the vehicle to assist passengers, conduct inspections, or handle other tasks. This requires flexibility and the ability to climb in and out of the driver’s seat.
Qualifications
Candidate should have the following skills, experience, and qualities:
- Can lift, push, pull up to 30lbs
- A high school diploma or greater
- Valid CA driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Previous experience in transporting passengers preferred
- Excellent communicative and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Physical ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Knowledge of safe driving practices as defined by the California DMV
- Ability to pass a background check, live scan, and Diocesan Safe Environment protocols

Per Diem Athletic Trainer
PER DIEM ATHLETIC TRAINER (part-time, hourly rate)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Applies protective or injury-preventive devices such as tape, bandages, and braces.
- Recognizes and evaluates injuries, including the more complicated and challenging (within the scope of practice).
- Evaluates and provides first aid or emergency care, including the more complicated and challenging (within the scope of practice).
- Develops and carries out rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
- Plans and implements comprehensive programs to prevent injury and illness from athletics.
- Performs administrative tasks, such as keeping records and writing reports on injuries and treatment programs.
- Maintains and completes NATA BOC certification, education, and administrative tasks as assigned and in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, sports medicine, athletic training, or a related field required.
Qualifications:
- Two years of experience preferred.
- Current certification in basic life support (BLS) required, or the ability to obtain before working independently with students or patients.
- Must be Certified by the Board of Certifications
- Must be able to communicate well with athletes, families, and full-time ATC.
- Must be able to function independently in the role needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Moderate physical effort when working in a patient care environment consisting of standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and stooping. Moderate sitting and keyboarding, along with fine and gross motor skills, and manual dexterity to operate a keyboard and other equipment. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move at least 40 to 50 lbs. Must be able to respond quickly and effectively to an emergency.
This is a part-time position, with hours determined by need and availability.
Salary range: $40-50/h based on experience. Employment is contingent on fingerprinting and background check clearances.
