Gianna Sorensen ‘26

Grade School: Parks Jr. High

Involved in: Varsity Volleyball and lacrosse team, Campus Ministry, Royal Ambassador, CSF, and NHS.

Why I chose Rosary: I chose Rosary because I felt like I belonged as soon as I shadowed here. I knew I would thrive in cultivating good relationships and being able to implement my faith into my daily routine. The experiences at Rosary I knew that no other school could give me!

What I love about Rosary: What I love most about Rosary is the people and the support they give me. Truly, I could walk down the hallway and someone will come up to me and ask how I am doing and regardless of a student or teacher, someone is always looking out for me and my journey to college, athletics and just life accomplishments.

Growing in Faith: My faith has grown because I am given an opportunity to participate in school Masses along with finding time throughout the day to go in the chapel and openly talk about my faith with others. It brings such a deep level of connection to discuss our faith journeys and be given such amazing opportunities such as Kairos and Lunchtime masses to really prioritize growing in our relationship with God.

Growing in Leadership: Rosary has helped me become a leader by encouraging me to go out of my comfort zone and find ways to work school events and practice practical skills such as public speaking, school tours, and just being a well-rounded and well-spoken young lady.

Favorite Tradition: My favorite tradition has to be Red and Gold. It is such a unique experience that truly never leaves you even after your time at rosary. The friendships you make from the 6 weeks of Red and Gold are so special and last a lifetime.

Advice to Future Royals: Never be afraid to try something new and meet new people, those hidden gems you find in the opportunities are life changing!
