Amelia Gonzalez has Made a Verbal Committment to Iona College

Prior to her arrival on the Rosary campus. Amelia attended St. Benedict School.  She has been a member of the varsity water polo team for all four of her years as a Royal, including her senior season when she helped to lead them to the CIF Championship.  She was named 1st Team All-CIF and 2nd Team All-League this year.
Head Water Polo Coach Rory Bevins had this to say, "Amelia has been an amazing player for four years. She really stepped up this year and became one of the best team captains I have ever seen at Rosary.  She led by example, and I could always trust her to get her team in the right mindset to win. She held team meetings, team sleepovers, and I owe so much of our success this season to her. She will do great things at Iona, and we are very excited to send her off to this next stage in her athletic and academic career. For me, she will always be the captain that brought a CIF championship back to Rosary water polo."
