Senior Lauren Woolley has committed to continue her water polo career at San Jose State University. Woolley was named CIF Southern Section Division III Player of the Year after leading the Royals to the Southern Section championship in 2020. A three-year varsity starter, Lauren has been named All Trinity League for the past three years and added an All Orange County citation this year.
Head water polo coach Rory Bevins commented, “I am so proud and happy to see Lauren committing to continue her academic and water polo career at SJSU. She has come so far since her first year with us and is going to leave a lasting legacy as a dedicated athlete, compassionate teammate, CIF champion, and CIF Player of the Year. I know she will continue to do great things and look forward to seeing her grow as a person. While we will be sad to see her go, she will always be a Royal to me and have a home here at Rosary.”
San Jose State University was founded in 1857 and provides a comprehensive university education. It is one of the oldest public institutions in the whole of the Western coast. San Jose is located on 154 acres downtown midway between Monterey Area and the end of San Francisco Bay.
