Senior Veralie Naranjo has committed to Biola University to continue her water polo career. The campus in La Mirada is a stone’s throw from Veralie’s home in Norwalk. Veralie was an important member of the CIF championship squad in 2020, earning All-CIF and All-Orange County honors. Though Biola has a decades-long athletic legacy, this NCAA institution will be competing in water polo for their first season ever when Veralie arrives as a freshman in 2021-22.
Coach Rory Bevins said of Veralie: "I am very excited for Veralie committing to continue her water polo and academic career at Biola. She is an immensely talented athlete and has become an awesome leader for our younger girls to look up to. She will do great things at the next level, and I am so excited to see what she does in the future."
