Two Rosary Academy athletes signed their letters of intent to continue playing their sport at the collegiate level. Lauren Woolley will play water polo at San Jose State University, and Veralie Naranjo has signed with Biola University to also play water polo.
Head water polo coach Rory Bevins is thrilled to see two of his finest water polo seniors continuing their academic and athletic careers at their respective colleges. He is sad to see them go but wishes them the best of luck with their futures. Bevins commented, “I am so proud and happy to see Lauren committing to continue her academic and water polo career at SJSU. She has come so far since her first year with us and is going to leave a lasting legacy as a dedicated athlete, compassionate teammate, CIF champion, and CIF Player of the Year. I know she will continue to do great things and look forward to seeing her grow as a person. While we will be sad to see her go, she will always be a Royal to me and have a home here at Rosary.” He also said of Veralie, "I am very excited for Veralie committing to continue her water polo and academic career at Biola. She is an immensely talented athlete and has become an awesome leader for our younger girls to look up to. She will do great things at the next level, and I am so excited to see what she does in the future."
Families and Royal fans joined together to celebrate Woolley and Naranjo and witness their signing in the Karcher Center at Rosary Academy.
