Senior Alexys Puche has committed to play waterpolo for Whittier College. The four-year varsity goalie was all-CIF as a junior, and set the single season saves record that year. She also had tremendous performance in the playoff run to the CIF Southern Section title.
Coach Rory Bevins commented, "Alexys is one of the best goalies to have ever come through Rosary. She set the single season save record last year in our run to winning CIF Division III, and on top of being critical to our winning CIF she was a role model and leader for our entire program. She was a joy to coach, and I know she will do amazing things at Whittier where she will be joining another Rosary water polo goalie alum in Lauren Tapia."
Whittier College is a place where students become actively involved in the local community as they explore their role in the global community, too. This is a community where individuality is valued, tolerance is cherished, and the things that make each of us unique are seen as invaluable tools in seeking greater knowledge and understanding. Inspired by a Quaker heritage, the Whittier education equips students to be active citizens and effective communicators who embrace diversity and act with integrity.
