Basketball coach Richard Yoon chosen to coach the North All-Star Team

On April 12, Coach Richard Yoon will be coaching the North Orange County All-Star Team when they compete against the South Team at Concordia University. Selected to play on the North Team this year are Rosary seniors Clara Linhoff and Rachel Pau'u.


Student admission is free for this event.

Tickets are $10 at the door. There may be a fee for parking, as well.


This All-Star game is featured by the Orange Coast Optimist Club, and economically supported by Farmers and Merchants Bank and numerous other sponsors.  Being chosen to coach the team is a significant honor, and the Rosary community is very proud of Coach Richard Yoon for the career that brought about his selection.


Coach Yoon is completing his 22nd year as a Rosary basketball coach. During his time here, the Royals have been ranked in the Orange County Top 10 for 19 times. Other impressive statistics include a 1999 CIF Championship, four League Championships, four CIF State appearances, and 12 trips to the CIF Semi-Finals.  Coach Yoon is a very dedicated coach and has been rewarded for his efforts by being named Coach of the Year four times, and this is his fourth time being selected as the coach of the All-Star Team.


A graduate of Long Beach State and USC, Coach Yoon also teaches AP Chemistry at Rosary. He lives in Placentia with his wife Emily, their daughter Kylie, and son James.
