Kaitlin Cochran '05 to be inducted into the OC Softball Hall of Fame

Former Rosary star Kaitlin Cochran will be inducted into the OC Softball Hall of Fame during the 15th annual OC Coaches Softball All-Star showcase on Tuesday, June 3, at Bill Barber Park.

Cochran had a stellar career at Rosary where she was a three-time All-County selection. During her senior season, she was named the Serra League MVP and she was first team All-State and first team All-American. She went on to play at Arizona State where she was named Pac-10 Newcomer of the Year and then first team All-Pac-10 as a sophomore junior and senior. She was a three-time Pac-10 Player of the Year. She was a four-time first team All-American. Cochran won the NCAA national batting title when she hit .492 as a sophomore and she was the USA Softball Nationl Collegiate Player of the Year as a senior and then was drafted No. 1 overall by Washington in the 2009 NPF Draft. She helped the USA national team win the 2011 World Cup of Softball.
