Royals Fight to the Very End in CIF Semifinal

In a game where the Royals led for three quarters, they played some of their best basketball of the season.  This team never gave up, and never slowed down.  They were accompanied by a GREAT crowd of Rowdy Royals.
St. Paul pulled into a tie with the Royals with 5:34 left in the 4th quarter. They remained tied until St. Paul went ahead with a three point toss at 1:23. Camille Lira was fouled with 17 seconds to go.  She sank both of her free throws.  The Royals were now down by 1 point.  St. Paul was fouled and made one of their free throws.  Nikki Miller rebounded the ball and the clock was stopped with 5.5 seconds remaining and Rosary down by 2 points.  The three point attempt in the final seconds was unsuccessful and the game ended 48-46 St. Paul.
Tough loss for a great team.  They were inspiring, spirited, skilled and intense all season long.
