TRI-SCHOOL WINS BIG AT STATE FESTIVAL

Tri-School Theatre attended the California State Thespian Festival in Upland on April 1-3; with almost 1000 students and teachers from all over the state. Five current Royals, and one alumna received awards and recognition for their work:

Caitlin Crawley: completed her term on State Board of CA Thespians and received superior ranking and a callback for finals in monologue.

Molly Renze: received superior ranking and a callback for finals in duet acting and was cast in the All-State show.

Allyson San Roman: received superior ranking and a callback for finals in duet acting, and was cast in the All-State show.

Alexandra Worden: selected as an opening number performer; received superior ranking in solo musical and duet musical; received a callback for finals in solo musical and duet musical.

Vitoria Villalobos: selected as costume crew for opening number; received superior ranking in solo musical; received a callback for finals in solo musical.

In addition, Tri-School Executive Artistic Director Hillary Pearson '98 was inducted into the Thespian Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame honors one person each year for outstanding participation in, and contributions to California State Thespians. Mrs. Pearson commented, "It was humbling to be honored in this way.  Previous inductees include some of my biggest role models in educational theatre."
