The Rosary Academy varsity dance team has been preparing since May 2016 for their biggest competition of the season -- the Universal Dance Association nationals competition. The UDA is one of the longest running and most prestigious dance team competitions in the country. Our girls flew to Orlando, Florida, last week to compete against over 200 teams nationwide. They proudly came back home with second place in the nation for both their Pom and Jazz routines. Prior to attending nationals in Florida the varsity dance team attended the state dance championship where they not only took first in their designated Pom and Jazz categories, but they won the Grand State Championship for 2017, holding the highest score and best performance.
Rosary Academy is nationally known and best recognized for their beautiful technique, long lines, and wow-factor performances, which all judges have praised in their score sheets throughout the years. The varsity dance team is on a mission to get back into first place ranking at their upcoming competition for United Spirit Association nationals, which takes place at the end of March 2017.
