Special Honors given to two Rosary graduates

Two prestigious awards are bestowed annually at graduation.

The Royal Excellence Award is given to the senior who has demonstrated the highest all-around academic achievement. It is a highly significant honor because this scholar has not just specialized in one subject area but has achieved excellence in all areas of study. The Royal Excellence Award was presented to Kathryn Szymanski.

The Royalette Award is the highest honor the Rosary Academy community can bestow upon a graduating senior.  Selection for this award is made by the graduating class, as well as faculty and administration. This award is given to the senior who best exemplifies the spirit and character of Rosary Academy in the tradition of our Patroness, Mary. Like Mary, this Royal exhibits an active faith in Jesus Christ by reaching out to others and giving unselfishly to members of Rosary Academy, as well as to the greater community.  She is a young woman of tremendous character, high moral standards, and admirable leadership and is a true example to her Royal sisters. The Royalette Award includes a memorial scholarship established by Mr. Paul Riffel, who was a great friend of Rosary.  The scholarship is given in the name of his wife, Liz. The Royalette award was presented to Aidan Crowley.

Congratulations to these two admirable young women!
