Rick Glenn joins the coaching staff at Rosary Academy with more than 30 years of cross country and track & field coaching experience. He holds a USATF level one certification in track & field for all events, a level two certification in the sprints/hurdles/relays and a second level two certification in the endurance events. He has successfully coached every event in track & field and is eager to return to the high school ranks.
Most recently, Coach Glenn was at Chapman University where he coached the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track teams, as well as being the Recruiting Coordinator for all programs. Rick has also coached at California Baptist, Pepperdine University, and Florida Southern College - where he spent time focusing on sprints, hurdlers, and relays. Prior to coaching at the collegiate level, Glenn spent eight years coaching and teaching at Los Alamitos and Huntington Beach High Schools.
Coach Glenn competed at Orange Coast College where he ran the 400 meters with a personal best of 49.8. Following his collegiate career, he focused on becoming one of the top dual-athletes (run/bike/run) in California. In addition, he was a top adventure race competitor, winning the 2001 Malibu Canyon Adventure Race in 18 hours and 28 minutes. He still runs in local events ranging from 5K’s to half marathons.
Coach Glenn is active in his faith and is a Community Pastor at VOX Community Church in Yorba Linda. He holds two Master’s degrees and a bachelor's degree and resides in Orange.
