Coach Hamann is the Head coach of the Lacrosse team. He is excited to be sharing his over twenty years of coaching experience to help feed the "Mind", "Body" and "Spirit" of each player to help them become the best player and person they can be. He is excited to work with Coach Chavez and Coach Alcarez to bring a positive, motivating, successful and supportive atmosphere to the Rosary Lacrosse program. He was a varsity basketball and volleyball player in high school and his club volleyball team played in the 1981 Junior Olympics in Omaha NE. Coach Hamann has been married to his wonderful wife, Mariellen, for over 30 years. They are the proud parents of son Mark, Servite class of 2012 and daughter Laura, Rosary class of 2014.
Greg A. Chavez will be the Assistant Women’s Lacrosse coach. A Whittier College alumnus, Greg approaches athletics from both a physical and academic perspective. He provides student athletes with not only the prowess to perform at a varsity level, but also with the intellectual understanding of how to strategize towards victory. He is an avid amateur endurance athlete having completed ten cycling centuries, four marathons, and several half-marathons. His coaching expertise stems from time playing at the club level as an undergrad and as a volunteer coach for Golden Hill Little League. He looks to his wife, Lori, and his children, Griffin and Norah, for continuing inspiration.
