Tuition Assistance

Rosary Academy is committed to financially assisting students and families who may otherwise not be able to attend.  It is our intention that Rosary is affordable for all who apply, however, funding is limited, so award decisions are made based on relative need.  Awards generally range from 10% to 50% of annual tuition, with very rare exceptions.

Applicants awarded tuition assistance must adhere to the following policies to maintain their awards:

  • Parents must commit to and comply with the terms of their Tuition Contract (This requires staying current on all Rosary financial obligations.)
  • Parents will be required to work service hours. (Possible events include Cracked Crab, Red Wine & Gold, Royal Golf Classic, athletic and other events).
  • Students must remain in good discipline and academic standing. (Please refer to the Student Handbook on the Rosary Academy Parents’ webpage for additional information.)
 

Annual renewal of tuition assistance is not automatic nor guaranteed.  Awards typically remain comparable from year to year; however, awards may vary based on changes in parents’ finances, available funds, and overall demand for assistance.  Families are required to reapply each year. 

 

Tuition assistance applications for the 2022-23 school year are now open on FACTS Grant & Aid.  You may access FACTS Grant & Aid to begin your application by clicking here!  

 

New families who complete their applications by December 3, 2021 (the New Family Early Application Deadline), will receive early award decisions within 4-5 weeks of December 3.  New families who do not meet the December 3 deadline, but complete their applications by January 28, 2022 (the New Family Second Round Deadline), will receive award decisions within 4-5 weeks of January 28.  New families who complete their applications after January 28 but before April 22, 2022 (the final deadline for all applicants) will receive their award decisions within 4-5 weeks of April 22.

Returning families must complete their applications by the April 22, 2022 deadline. Families will receive their award decisions within 4-5 weeks of April 22.

As part of the application process, you will be required to provide a complete copy of your federal income tax return (including all forms and W2's).  New families may submit 2020 returns and W2s.  Returning families must submit 2021 returns and W2s.

Here is a brief overview of the application process: 

  • All tuition assistance applications must be completed through FACTS Grant & Aid.  Please see the link above.  FACTS Grant & Aid is an online service provider that processes financial aid applications for private schools. 
  • FACTS Grant & Aid charges an application fee of $40 per family, which families pay online upon submission of their applications.
  • Applicants must send copies of all tax documents directly to FACTS Grant & Aid.  Your tax documents will not be accepted by the School.
  • FACTS Grant & Aid provides the Rosary Academy Financial Aid Committee with various reports, summaries and award recommendations.  All financial information provided by FACTS Grant & Aid is held in the strictest of confidence.
  • The Financial Aid Committee decides on awards after careful review of the applications.  Award decisions are based on the financial needs of each family, subject to available funds and overall demand for assistance.
  • New families must submit their application for admission to have their tuition assistance applications considered.
  • Returning families must be fully registered for the coming school year to have their tuition assistance applications considered.

Royal Merit Grant
The Royal Merit Grant is a merit-based program that awards scholarships to students who have demonstrated academic, artistic, spiritual, leadership, or extracurricular excellence. 

Students must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) at Rosary in order to be considered.
