Filip Tomicic was born and raised in Osijek, Croatia where he graduated from business high school. While in Croatia, Filip played professionally with the National Team, winning the Gold in the European League along with two National Championships and many personal awards. He then left Croatia to get a college degree and play volleyball at the collegiate level. His first year in the States, he attended California Baptist University on a volleyball scholarship. Tomicic helped his team win the 2010 National Championship that year. The following year he went on to play for Cal State Northridge, finishing the season in the playoffs of the MPSF Conference Championship. Filip then finished his volleyball career at Hope International University, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with a minor in Biblical studies.
While playing for Hope, Filip was named Setter of the Year and First Team All-Conference.
Filip began his coaching career, learning from top quality coaches. Before moving to the United States, Coach Tomicic had the opportunity to work with Croatia’s Women’s National Team. Later he would work with Top Gun Volleyball Club, as the head coach of the 15-1s and 18-1s teams. More recently, he joined the staff at one of the biggest clubs in the Southern California area, San Gabriel Elite, as the head coach for a 13s girls and 18s boys team. Among all these accolades, Filip also found time to assist at Mt. Sac College and Tustin High School. Coach Tomicic has now begun a new venture as owner of the ProPlay Volleyball Club, a SCVA club looking to give each player a chance to achieve their maximum potential on and off the court.

La Sierra University
Terry Lendeen attended Orangewood Academy in Garden Grove where he was a
4-year Varsity Basketball & Volleyball player. In his senior year of basketball, he helped win the school’s first boys basketball league title.
After graduating from high school, Terry helped start the first volleyball club team at La Sierra University where he played for four years as a middle blocker & outside hitter against local colleges and universities. In 2009, Terry earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from La Sierra University.
Terry returned to Orangewood Academy where he was the head coach of the girls varsity volleyball team for 5 years. Under his direction they won two League titles, twice advanced past the 2nd round of the CIF playoffs, and won Orangewood Academy’s 1st Volleyball CIF-SS D5-A title in 2012. Coach Lendeen was named the CIF-SS D5-A Coach of the Year.
Terry enjoys coaching the Rosary volleyball team, and looks forward to another successful season.
