Service Outreach

The philosophy of service outreach at Rosary Academy flows from the desire for every student to live out our school’s charism to “service to the dear neighbor without distinction,” by participating in direct service outreach. As part of Rosary Academy’s mission, philosophy and criteria for graduation, students are required to participate in service outreach all 4 years. In the freshman and sophomore year students participate in class level service projects. In their junior and senior years students serve a minimum of 10 hours each semester. Agencies must be chosen from Rosary Academy’s approved list.

Service outreach is at the core of our Gospel values, to be the hands and feet of Christ, and all Royals are called to live out our charism, “to serve the dear neighbor without distinction.” In the tradition of our founding religious order, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, our students are formed as servant leaders to make a positive impact on our wider community.

· All hours are to be logged on a service verification form and submitted to Campus Ministry (room 9) by the Friday before Thanksgiving break in the fall semester and April 15th in the spring semester.

· All hours must come from direct (face to face) service. All agencies need to be approved by Rosary Academy including summer programs

· Service Verification Forms cannot be signed by a parent, relative, or Rosary student
